The exhibition is strongly supported by SSB (Turkish Defence Industry Agency, under the Presidency) and SSI (Turkish Defence and Aerospace Industry Exporters’ Association). SEDEC is a dynamic platform that brings together domestic and international participants in the fields of homeland security, border security and defence subsystems. It is an effective platform for authorities including the Defence Industry Presidency, General Directorate of Security, air and naval forces, and Gendarmerie General Command to have direct contact with manufacturers, and provides supply chain connections between major industrial manufacturers and small and medium-sized enterprises. Most of Turkey’s defence giants such as ASELSAN, TAI, HAVELSAN, STM, Roketsan and FNSS attend the exhibition. International giants including Lockheed Martin, Rosoboronexport, MBDA, Thales, BAE, KAI, EADS, GICAT, Boeing, Airbus, Leonardo and Rolls-Royce also participate. SEDEC focuses on three major sectors: homeland security, border security and defence supply chains. Border security is essential to ensure national security, economic well-being and national sovereignty.
